Thanksgiving Day

About one hundred people celebrated a sunny Thanksgiving Day with us this year.

Picnic in the grounds

After morning coffee old and new faces gathered together in the chapel to praise God for all He has done both personally and at Crowhurst Christian Healing Centre in the past year. Angela Painter, Chief Executive of Burswood preached on the benefits and importance of being thankful to God.

During the service staff and volunteers were given the opportunity to be anointed with oil as they continue to serve God here.

Our beautiful grounds were enjoyed to their full potential at lunch time as many stayed to share a picnic lunch with us.

Around the centre were displays from the various staff teams, prayer and reflection stations, an art sale and a nearly new book sale as well as the opportunity for people to visit the new prayer rooms.

There was a colourful start to the afternoon service with a song from the Lion King performed by staff before staff and volunteers were given the opportunity to  share their best memories from the last year.

The day ended in traditional Crowhurst fashion with afternoon tea.
